My name is Daniela Ziletti,
I live in Italy and alongside
my artistic practice I have cultivated
with great dedication my role as a teacher
of Music and Art. For 14 years
I have been collecting ties from
all over the world with which
I create my most important work called "Millepiume".
I deeply believe in the educational value
of artistic expression and the ties
I use are not just simple fabrics
but fragments of memory, colors,
textures and signs that I bring to new life,
knowing the story behind each one.

All of this allows me to create
works that are always unique and deeply connected
to the context and to the place, thus becoming
a bridge between past and present.
In my Atelier located on the shores
of Lake Iseo in a 15th-century Hermitage,
the ties become a living material that
I transform into shifting installations of forms,
colors and dimensions. All of this becomes a
personal ritual in which memory takes shape
and fabric becomes a work with a precise balance
between technical stability and formal freedom.
The result is a one-of-a-kind creation in the world
in which the tie, an everyday object,
loses its original function to
become an integral part of a new visual language.

Millepiume is created through
careful planning,
a long and rigorous process,
as all the ties are sewn by hand.
The work has been exhibited in Institutional and
Cultural contexts and has received recognition from Authorities and Communities.
In these historic residences, following the considerable
influx of visitors, I have always been
asked to extend the exhibition.

My first installation was created at the NATO base in Brussels sewing 1,112 ties; in the 42nd exhibition in 2025 I used as many as 24,106.
